LUCA XAVIER TANNER
The label Luca Xavier Tanner was founded in 2020, only shortly after its designer’s graduation at Head in Geneva. Now located in Zurich, the designer works with a small number of individuals to develop his designs. Somatic, tactile, and challenging – when designing new pieces, the human body is always in focus.
JACQUELINE LOEKITO
Born from a British mother and an Indonesian father, Jacqueline has a special cocktail mix of a background that shaped the designer she is today. Jacqueline Loekito label was established in 2018, focusing on sharing clothing from one wardrobe between men and women is her main vision. Pink is the main colour of her collection, as she wanted to popularise this colour for both genders. After finishing her Master at the Institute of Fashion Design FHNW HGK, she decided to continue working and living in Basel. She has a passion to make Switzerland more colourful and daring.
EVA VERWICHT
Craftsmanship and the development of sculptural forms are at the heart of the work of Eva Verwicht, designer and visual artist. Fauna and flora are inexhaustible sources of inspiration for its collections of leather goods accessories and shoes. Childhood memories, dreams and emotions are translated into sculptures and then, through analogies, designed into accessories.
LOGOSLUX
Fanny devaux studied visual arts at ecal,lausanne (ch) before pursuing her formation in fashion and textil design at la head, in geneva (ch). She now works in her studio located in la courneuve, ile-de-france. Her projects are mainly about textile development, prototype making and production.
WORN
The brand has been launched in 2015 by design duo Magdalena Brozda and Pauline Famy who began their collaboration at HEAD – Geneva University of Art and Design. Magdalena has a fashion design background having worked with A.F. VANDEVORST and CHALAYAN. She was also finalist of the H&M DESIGN AWARD 2015 and winner of the PUBLIC PRIZE. Pauline specializes accessory design having worked with the handbag department at HERMĒS where she gained expertise in the handcraft processes of luxury leatherwork. In 2018 WORN’S team is joint by artist and designer Camille Buhler who got her fashion background from working for HONEST BY BRUNO PIETERS, ANDREA CREWS and WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK.
FORBIDDEN DENIMERIES
Forged from both casual workwear and haute couture, Forbidden Denimeries reinvents denim through sustainable jackets and accessories. The brand promises contemporary, customizable and sustainable elegance through a keen sense of cut and innovative finishing techniques such as engraving laser.
AK LEBINÔME
ak lebinôme is a Swiss brand founded by the designer duo Rafaela Almeida and Cécile Krähenbühl. The designers, graduates of HEAD, stand out for their work on textile prints. They develop them from personal images and digital editing software. ak lebinôme is the result of a union that experiments with the creative fields of print through clothing and accessories.
SAFIA SEMLALI
Safia Semlali is a swiss designer. She grew up in Switzerland until her Bachelor degree in fashion and accessory design at the university of art and design of Geneva. Often inspired by the women of her cultural entourage, her work is driven by a questioning of the definition of femininity and the diversity of its expressions.
JILL BLOCH
All clothing is made in the Basel studio. The handmade jewellery is produced in a collaboration with the Basel native goldsmith Rahel Schneider. Recycled or ecologically produced fair trade silver and second-hand pearls are used. The crocheted accessories are handmade by my mother Brigitta Bloch.
MARLICH
Marlich is a brand based in Lausanne, in Switzerland. Every collection is crafted by an artisan leather manufacturer in France. The current Marlich advertising campaigns enjoy playing on Swiss clichés. The name Marlich referring to the Arabic word with the same pronunciation, meaning “it doesn’t matter”, an expression that has become a sort of motto for the brand.
